As an Auckland wedding photographer, I’m always excited when a couple chooses a venue that feels like a hidden gem. Cindy and Brydon’s wedding at The McCallum Residence was exactly that—a perfect blend of elegance and seaside charm.
Set on a beautifully clear day, the venue offered a little bit of everything: French courtyard vibes, lush gardens, and a stunning beach just steps away. It felt like we were in a European coastal town, right in the heart of Auckland.
Cindy’s parents flew in all the way from China to attend the wedding, which made the day feel even more special. There was so much love in the air—joy, gratitude, and a deep sense of connection among everyone present.
The ceremony took place right on the beach. With the ocean sparkling behind them and a gentle breeze in the air, Cindy and Brydon exchanged vows surrounded by family, friends, and the sound of waves. It was simple, heartfelt, and absolutely beautiful to witness.
As the sun began to dip, guests gathered back at the residence for an alfresco dinner under the open sky. Long tables were set up outdoors, with warm lighting, soft florals, and the kind of relaxed, intimate vibe that makes you want to linger all evening.
One of the most magical moments came during their first dance. Under a large tree wrapped in fairy lights, Cindy and Brydon swayed together for the first time as husband and wife. It felt like a scene from a movie—quiet, glowing, and full of love.
