Emma and Ben’s wedding at Mantells was simply unforgettable. As an Auckland wedding photographer, days like this remind me why I love my job so much—beautiful couples, gorgeous venues, and heartwarming personal touches.
The day began with a touching first look at the Winter Gardens, surrounded by lush native ferns. It was an intimate moment full of anticipation and warmth. Afterwards, we took advantage of the beautiful surroundings at the Auckland Domain for some fun, relaxed wedding-party photos before heading to Mantells.
The ceremony took place in Mantells’ iconic cobblestone courtyard under clear skies. Flori created stunning floral arrangements, including Emma’s striking freestyle waterfall bouquet and an elegant backdrop by the fireplace, setting the perfect scene for their vows.
Emma looked effortlessly beautiful in her sleek, detachable gown—modern, elegant, and perfectly suited to the day's style. Later in the evening, she surprised everyone by changing into a vibrant dress featuring shades of white and orange, perfectly matching her bouquet, to perform their choreographed first dance with Ben. It was a memorable moment filled with applause and smiles.
We spent the afternoon exploring nearby spots for photos. The charming church across the street provided a timeless backdrop, while Circus Circus café added a touch of local flair. As sunset approached, the venue’s front gate offered a dreamy setting for intimate portraits.
The evening ended on a high note with guests enthusiastically hitting the dance floor—including Emma’s grandmother, who at over 90 years old, danced with joyful energy that inspired everyone around her.
