Getting Ready: House With No Nails

Wedding Gown - Chotronette

Suit - Politix

Sitting here trying to think of ways to sum up the day feels like the hardest thing to do right now. Epic? Majestic? Beautiful? Unique? Non of these words seem to do this day justice…

Before the parties began, we were already treated to the stunning “House With No Nails”, weird name right? Well the house is exactly as the name advertises, almost a century old, this 3 storied house made with not a single nail. The house though wasn’t nearly enough to outshine Eleanor’s wedding gown! All the way from Romania and made by Chottronette, this designer gown literately took out breath away. A slight bit of gamble having it shipped all the way over (especially during these crazy times!) but definitely paid off cause Jack (and Theo!) couldn’t stop gawking at her during the first look!

Time went super fast but Kylie-Ann was able to get all the hair and make up done right on time, with her usual high standard of quality of course :P and we were off to Hobbiton and The Shire!

As soon as we got to Hobbiton it was gogogo! Guests were eager to see these two get married again (yap you read right :p), the staff had it all setup and it was time with Jack leading the way with those that were closest to them making their way down the path into The Shire!

The part about being married again? Well these two gorgeous lovebirds just couldn’t wait to be married and decided to just do it during the pandemic lockdowns :p something a little more intimate compared to today, one full of festivities! Theo of course made things super eventful even letting out a few barks during the ceremony to say “I do” as well. And so for the first time, Jack and Eleanor said their vows for the first time to each other!

Finally! It’s time for that famous Hobbiton Tour!!! Being a massive Lord of the Ring fan myself, I’m ashamed to say it feels like I know nothing when compared to Jack! In fact, Jack was so much of a fan that I don’t think there was a single question that Sunny, our guide, threw at Jack that he couldn’t answer!

After visiting a couple of hobbit houses, Jack even decided to jump the same fence Bilbo did when he went on his adventure! Guess its a pretty good way for this adventure to start too, just hope there isn’t much mayhem as there was in The Hobbit 🤣

And so continuing with our Hobbiton Tour we end up at Bilbo’s house atop the hills! This is definitely THE most epic way to end a couples shoot.

If you’re as big a fan as Jack and Eleanor is of The Lord of The Rings and have seen the extended version of The Fellowship of The Ring, you’ll no doubt remember The Green Dragon Inn where our hobbit heroes danced, drank and sang the night away. Fitting since that’s exactly what happened on this night as well!

I did initially hire a Gandalf the Gray costume just for this but there was so much hair it was impossible to even see, let alone shoot 🤣 Jack’s uncle saved the day though, with a nice beard attached to his chin he was half way there already, so being an awesome sport he donned the wig, rob and even wizard hat and stepped into the in to shout “YOU SHALL NOT PASS”

With this epic setting as well as ales straight from the barrels, this was THE party no one would forget!

And of course we couldn’t leave without getting a few night photos at the Hobbiton! Jack even took up the staff and wizard hat to fully utilize the bridge to reenact one of the most epic scenes!
