If you wish to have a wedding right in the heart of Auckland and look for a dramatic and spectacular venue, look no more; St. Matthew's is the right place for you. This Anglican church built in 1905 offers neo-gothic architecture and over 100 years of history within its walls. Stained glass windows, polished brass fixtures, Kauri floors, high ceilings, and magnificent pillars will embellish your reception and is the dream of every Auckland wedding photographer to shoot here!
This is a unique wedding venue for couples who wish to celebrate an indoor wedding. You can seat up to 250 guests in the main space; the beautiful backdrops can accommodate any style and vision since it offers a neutral tone as a base.
The beautiful stained glass line the windows on all sides of the church and are simply stunning.
The venue flat rate fee includes the following service for your epic Auckland weddings:
⦁ Pack-in.
⦁ Pack-out.
⦁ Labour to clear and reset the pews.
⦁ Professional cleaning.
⦁ 2 security guards for up to 6 hours.
⦁ Use of up to 190 chairs.

They also allow for pre/post-wedding shoots which you can arrange for seperately for a flat fee of $350 ($200 Mon-Fri) and you can check out more info about that here.
The facility offers power outlets throughout the entire space, as well as two three-phase power outlets. They recommend renting a generator if your wedding will have a heavy demand for power supply. You can bring a band, musicians, or DJ and they have a single CD and PA system for you to use. Alcohol is allowed only inside the venue however a license is required by the vendor, or if you wish to bring your beverages, you need to acquire a liquor license from the Auckland Council.
